I wanted to create a painting where the facial expression reflects the feeling the older woman was experiencing. I wanted the feeling to be easily recognized. She is simply enjoying the sunlight. Disfrutando El Sol is the second painting in a three painting set of the same older woman. Lita is the first of the series and Abuela is the third.
